The Man has come back around and that means I get to do a new painting of Becky Lynch! It's been a minute since the last one.
Lately I've been experimenting with acrylics and evolving my mark-making with the medium and it feels like a bit of a breakthrough craft-wise on this one for me. In the past with acrylics, to get the chaotic feelings I like in my paintings I've done my underpainting with brush and then finishing with a palette knife. But lately I've been doing the finishes with a flat brush and playing around with how I move the brush, how much paint I have on it, and even where the paint on the brush is to get different effects.
I'm digging it. I feel like there's a lot more to this for me to discover in future pieces.
