Since I started using the color hatching technique I've been excited because it's something new to me, that I'm still learning all of the ways to use it. With this painting of Edge vs Randy Orton I pushed it a little bit further to have it at points match the direction of the spiral background, to speak to how their rivalry has spiraled out of all control.

I've needed an infusion of experimentation in my work, I think. I wasn't complacent by any means, but it was all about pushing myself on perfecting my technique. Sometimes a little energy can be lost by that. It's a way to keep things exciting for myself and to continue to grow as an artist.
