Now that Seth Rollins has evolved his look, I felt it was time to do a new piece of him. The whole suit thing got me in the mindset of 60's editorial and advertising illustration. Maybe it's that I've just wanted to do that anyway for a piece, but regardless, like one of his fine suits, this was a great fit.
Oof. That pun.
I used a limited palette of flat yellow, pale blue and orange to differentiate the figure from the background, especially with the figure's use of heavy black ink. This was also my mile-marker of sorts for the ThunderDome era, with the background being a highly abstracted take on the screens used in the arena. I thought it made for a solid overall framing of the composition and the well-dressed figure of Seth Rollins.
This print is made on demand and may take up to a week to be produced before shipping.
